Redesigning an existing product:
The biggest challenge faced during this project was the concept of redesigning a product that had an established brand and high expectations. Through surveying current Generate members on their thoughts and grievances on the previous design, I was able to design a new Landing page and Apply page that maintained the fun, vibrant Generate branding while introducing a new "Cybernetic" feel to the website. Furthermore, consolidated and condensed a lot of the information users realistically would never read.
Working in a small team:
I worked in a team of four people, two designers and two developers. As a result, we were each responsible for our own portions of the website, only working together when it came to reviews. Having a large responsibility for an externally facing product that represented an organization was a lot of pressure, but it felt rewarding when my time of the project came to an end.
